Straw Silk is a 100% silk fiber which has been hand-dyed and hand-painted in lush, luxurious colors. Straw Silk can be used in surface embroidery, needlepoint, and even cross stitch. This thread covers beautifully on 13 or 18 count canvas, using either decorative or tent stitches. It can be plied out for use in cross stitch pieces or to create rough texture. It can be used as-is for texture or stitched flat to appear as smooth as silky satin! Comes in 11.1 yard skeins.
